MERJO MARINE operates a Health and Safety Management System which covers all vessels Operations. The HSEMS is a structured method of assessing and managing hazards and Risks which may exist in any work situation in which the company's employees may find themselves. The HSEMS is organized in four main levels:
1. Policy statements, Safety Manual: setting out Corporate Policies and Organizational Responsibilities and defining how the company complies with Statutory and self-determined responsibilities
2. HSE Procedures and Forms: Environment Standards and Guidelines
3. HSE Work Instructions
4. Management Records, Stakeholder Information: HSE Interface Documents and Project Specific HSE Plans and reference documents from industry, governmental and customer organizations HSE Planning is an integral part of the system and includes Annual HSE Plan, HSE Training Plan, Risk Management and Project specific HSE Plans.
For each project, a comprehensive Project HSE Plan is always drawn up. This plan is designed to present, in an easily under standable manner, all procedures, actions and information needed for the safe conduct of the project and in the event of an emergency. The Project HSE Plan includes an interface / bridging document that interfaces the FSAEHSE system and procedures with those of the Client and Sub Contractors.
